DVD Review

Spaniels enjoy a long and well-documented history, which is highlighted in Rangeaire Vision's video 'THE HISTORY OF SPANIELS'. It is an excellent review of the modern breeds available, which is strongly supported by substantial and interesting historical comment.

Don't be fooled by the modern usage of the word 'Spaniel' to think this video only discusses the Gundog breeds. The producers have also taken the time to investigate the companion breeds, such as the Cavalier, Papillon and many more. In fact you will see modern footage of some of the world's most successful show ring dogs in a comprehensive range of breeds, plus glorious paintings and prints from many centuries past.

This is a visually rich video, the narrator (Jane) speaks at a moderate pace, making it easy to understand every word. There's ample time to examine the lovely old artwork and the show ring scenes, which allows the viewer to see the breeds that are available today in pristine surroundings.

For those interested in the Spaniel and associated breeds, the Rangeaire Vision video is excellent value and a good introduction to the history of this exquisite family of dogs.

I just wanted to let you know we enjoyed the videos very much, they were very informative. I'm sure we will watch them many times over. Also we received them so quickly (delivered in one week), I was very surprised since they were sent all the way from Australia!
